Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and maintaining classrooms, administrative areas, restrooms, and grounds as assigned.
  • Responsible for securing all doors, gates, and compounds when completing the service of buildings and areas throughout the FSUS campus. This includes the unlocking and locking of doors, the unlocking and locking of gates, and the turning on and off of lights, televisions, and other electrical equipment as directed.
  • Cleaning of interior and exterior walls, doors, and windows may also be required.
  • Stripping and waxing of floors throughout campus.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Valid Florida or Georgia driver's license obtained prior to hire.
  • Must be able to provide three professional references
  • Knowledge of cleaning and janitorial duties
  • Knowledge of floor stripping/waxing and the use of floor maintenance equipment
  • Ability to deal with the public, parents, students, faculty, and staff in a professional courteous way
  • Ability to understand the basic concept and to follow chain of command instructions
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
