This is a hands-on manufacturing position responsible for operating and maintaining metal additive manufacturing equipment, supporting build preparation and post-processing, safely handling metal powders, and maintaining part and material traceability.

What You'll Do
  • Operate metal additive manufacturing equipment, including EOS M290, EOS M4K, SLM 280, and SLM NXG systems.
  • Perform machine setup, calibration, operation, and routine maintenance.
  • Monitor additive builds and respond to production requirements based on machine schedules.
  • Safely handle metal powder, including sieving, sampling, loading, cleaning, and material tracking.
  • Remove build supports from printed components.
  • Perform self-inspection of parts and components.
  • Maintain full traceability of powders, materials, and manufactured parts.
  • Document procedures, build information, and test results.
  • Use hand, pneumatic, and power tools during manufacturing and post-processing activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support corrective actions for failed builds or process problems.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Follow aerospace and defense quality requirements, safety procedures, and powder-handling protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement of additive manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.

What We're Looking For
  • Knowledge of metal additive manufacturing processes, raw materials, and quality control standards.
  • Experience working with hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Comfortable working with digital interfaces, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on machine build schedules.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements and be eligible to obtain or maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of additive manufacturing or related manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with EOS or SLM metal additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Work Environment

This position works primarily within manufacturing and laboratory environments around industrial machinery, metal 3D printers, and testing equipment. Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, handling tools and materials, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.

The environment may include airborne particles, chemical fumes, equipment noise, and varying temperatures. Required PPE and established safety procedures must be followed.

Some extended hours or weekend work may be required based on machine builds, equipment maintenance, and production schedules.

Compensation

$38 to $43 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
