Job description

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, is seeking a full-time Journeyman Electrician for substation work in the South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri areas. $3500 hire bonus applies and per diem as eligible.
Job Summary
  • Works under general direction of job foreman and other project supervisors.
  • Perform power and control wiring of substation equipment and the control house in accordance with project drawings and details as well as electrical codes.
  • Install substation equipment, conduit and grounding.
  • Perform or assist with other substation tasks such as welding, pipe bending, concrete forming and finishing, erection of steel structures and material handling.
  • Works from all types of ladders and personnel lifting equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes other duties as directed.
  • Travel required.

Qualifications
  • Valid State Electrical Journeyman's license
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
