What is a full time student?

Full time students are individuals who are enrolled in an educational program, such as high school, college, or university, and are taking a minimum number of courses or credit hours as defined by their institution. Typically, this means enrolling in at least 12 credits per semester at the undergraduate level, though requirements may vary. Full time students often have access to certain benefits, such as eligibility for financial aid, student housing, and specific campus resources. Being a full time student usually means dedicating most of your time to classes, studying, and related academic activities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time student, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Student, strong time-management, study habits, and foundational academic skills are essential, typically supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with digital learning platforms, research databases, and productivity software is often required. Self-motivation, adaptability, and effective communication help students engage with coursework and collaborate with peers and instructors. These skills are vital for academic success, personal development, and preparation for future professional opportunities.

What are some effective strategies for balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments as a full time student?

Balancing academic responsibilities with extracurriculars and personal life is a common challenge for full-time students. Effective time management is key—using planners or digital calendars can help prioritize tasks and set realistic deadlines. Setting aside dedicated study blocks, communicating proactively with professors or group members, and being mindful of overcommitting to activities are also important. Many students find that regularly reviewing and adjusting their schedules helps maintain a healthy balance and reduces stress.

Job description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Mobile Clinic

East Tennessee | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available

No evaluations. No case management. More time doing the work you became an SLP to do.

Thrive Therapies Group is expanding our Mobile Clinic Program in East Tennessee, and we're looking for Speech-Language Pathologists who want to spend more of their time working directly with students and less time buried in administrative responsibilities.

Our mobile clinic model brings high-quality therapy directly to the communities that need it while giving clinicians the flexibility, resources, and support they need to do their best work.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Why SLPs Will Love This Role

No Evaluations. No Case Management.

Your focus is therapy. You'll provide direct speech-language services without the added responsibility of evaluations or clinical case management.

More Face-to-Face Time With Students

Provide focused, 40-minute therapeutic sessions with a stable, consistent student caseload. Spend your time making an impact with students, teachers, and families not managing unnecessary administrative work.

Full-Time & Part-Time Flexibility

Looking for your next full-time opportunity? Want meaningful part-time work that fits alongside your current schedule? Our growing mobile clinic model offers options for both.

Travel & Lodging Support

For clinicians traveling to provide services, Thrive can coordinate travel logistics and lodging to support your scheduled on-site days.

We Bring the Support to You

Working in a mobile model doesn't mean working alone.

Materials & Clinical Resources Provided

Thrive provides the therapy materials, clinical resources, and tools you need so you can arrive prepared and focus on your students instead of spending your own time and money sourcing materials.

A Team Behind You

You'll have the support of regional leadership, operational partners, behavioral specialists, and fellow clinicians who are committed to helping you succeed.

A Different Way to Deliver Therapy

At Thrive, we're building a more clinician-focused way to bring therapy to students and communities.

If you're an SLP who wants meaningful clinical work, less administrative burden, greater flexibility, and a strong team behind you, we'd love to meet you.

Come help us bring therapy where it's needed most and spend more of your time doing what you do best.
