Job description

Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location:- NY City, NY

Duration:- Full Time

Must have:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 10+ years of professional experience in designing, developing, tuning, and monitoring Oracle-based systems.
  • The ideal candidate should be proficient in writing complex queries, managing database objects, and optimizing performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • A strong background in SQL, PL/SQL, and Java, along with the ability to work on enterprise-level solutions, is essential for this role.

Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills:

Core Database Skills:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience in designing database objects such as tables, triggers, procedures, and partitions.
  • Ability to write and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL queries for data analysis and processing.

Performance Tuning & Tools:

  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Tuning, SQL traces, SQLLDR, and other Oracle utilities.
  • Hands-on experience with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) for monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring and use of third-party tools.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Java and integration of database logic with Java-based applications.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust PL/SQL programs, stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
  • Work with application teams to integrate database solutions and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Tune SQL queries for performance optimization using Oracle tools and best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues using OEM and other diagnostic tools.
  • Participate in database design discussions and ensure proper indexing, partitioning, and storage management.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support builds, deployments, and defect resolution.
  • Document technical solutions, queries, and procedures for maintainability and compliance.
Provide production support and proactively monitor database health and performance
