Job Title: Racquet Sports Professional & Program Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Racquet Sports

Rate: $15-16/hr + lessons revenue and commissions

Timeframe: Full-Time, Benefits-eligible, year-round position with the Club

Job Summary:

  • This is a key role in providing exceptional racquet sports experiences for our members and guests. This position is divided evenly between customer service and administrative support (50%) and on-court instruction/programming (50%) across tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, service-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • On-Court Instruction and Programming (50%)
    • Teach private and group lessons in tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball for adults and juniors of all skill levels.
    • Assist in clinics, leagues, and junior programs.
    • Provide a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all.
    • Assist with seasonal racquet events, camps, and competitive programs.
    • Represent the club positively in all member interactions and professional settings.
  • Customer Service and Administration (50%)
    • Serve as the point of contact for member inquiries about programs, lessons, and events.
    • Manage class and event registrations through the club’s booking system.
    • Provide clear communication about schedules, policies, and offerings.
    • Assist with marketing racquets programs, including newsletters and in-club signage.
    • Maintain accurate records for lessons, clinics, events, and member billing.
    • Support the professional staff with tournament coordination, special events, and promotions.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior teaching experience in at least one racquet sport; proficiency in multiple sports preferred, but not required.
  • Professional certifications (USPTA, PTR, PPTA, or PPR) or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Energetic, organized, and dependable with a team-first mindset.
  • Basic computer and scheduling system proficiency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
