Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Partnerships, the Premium Seating Coordinator is responsible for supporting the premium seating team through the sales and activation process by assisting in the execution of premium seating ticket distribution, coordinating premium seating client event day and marketing communications, assisting in the day-of-event premium seating experience, selling premium seating, and helping to maintain and grow client relationships to help achieve department revenue goals for OVG at the Casey's Center.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00-$20.00 and is commission eligible.

About the Venue
The Iowa Events Center is the state's premier arena and convention center, located in downtown Des Moines. Casey's Center is the 17,000-seat arena anchoring the campus, consistently ranking in the top 100 concert facility rankings by Pollstar Magazine. Casey's Center has hosted college basketball games featuring all four Division I basketball programs in the state as well as hosted the Iowa High School State Wrestling and Girls and Boys Basketball Tournaments each year. Three professional sports teams also call the arena home, including the NBA G-League's Iowa Wolves, the AHL's Iowa Wild, and the IFL's Iowa Barnstormers.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Premium Seating and Partnerships team in all premium seating aspects from sales to activation and fulfillment.
  • Responsible for conducting cold outreach to secure premium seating revenue from new prospects and returning customers to sell open inventory.
  • Act as the ticketing system liaison for the partnerships and premium seating department.
  • Service premium customers through various means, including direct contact, newsletters, networking gatherings, etc.
  • Coordinate the premium seating email newsletter database, distribution list, and content.
  • Assist in the creation and development of premium seating sales presentation materials.
  • Assist premium seating event day staff and box office staff as it relates to premium seating.
  • Prepare premium seating reports for meetings with tenant teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Update and relay premium seating-related event and ticketing information to each department.
  • Track premium seating attendance across event types and analyze opportunities.
  • Plan for upcoming renewal cycles, gifts, and special events for PS clientele.
  • Communicate well across all areas of the company, including marketing, finance, box office, and operations.
  • Assist in collection of accounts payable/receivable and revenue updates.
  • Support and work closely with regional management and on-site local management.
  • Work and attend events, promotions, and OVG events.
  • Other duties as appropriate

Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of sales or sales coordinator experience, preferably in the sports and entertainment or advertising and brand sales industries.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of your role and improve those around you.
  • Knowledge of the sport/event ticketing sales, sponsorship, and advertising industries.
  • Extremely organized and proactive with communication.
  • Ability to quickly establish personal relationships through trust, knowledge, and empathy.
  • A self-starter that has the ability to multitask, reacts well under pressure, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience with ticketing systems like Paciolan or Ticketmaster preferred.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work nights, all events, weekends, events, and holidays as required
