Job description

Join the team at the Sparta Dome — Where Sport Never Stops! The Sparta Dome is a 120,000+ sq. ft. indoor multi-sport facility in Crown Point, home to year-round soccer, baseball/softball, flag football, volleyball, a golf simulator, youth camps, open play, and private parties and events.

We're looking for a dependable, people-first Facility Manager to help keep the Dome running smoothly day to day. Working closely alongside our lead manager, you'll coordinate staff, support leagues and events, and make sure every patron who walks through our doors has a great experience. This is a hands-on, physically active role for someone with a positive attitude who likes to stay busy, solve problems on the fly, and set the tone for a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facility operations, open/close procedures, and field set-ups
  • Schedule, lead, and support staff — including high school and college-aged team members
  • Greet and assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds, answering questions and handling bookings
  • Manage reservations, leagues, open play, and events using our facility software, Bond (Bond Sports)
  • Reconfigure the playing surface between sports and keep the facility organized, safe, and game-ready at all times
  • Jump in wherever needed to keep the Dome humming

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass the alcohol server online course (training provided)
  • Positive, can-do attitude and a genuinely welcoming way with people
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems (we recently switched to Bond)
  • Strong communicator who works well with coworkers and patrons of diverse backgrounds
  • Comfortable supervising and mentoring high school and college students
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to take ownership of the day
  • Available evenings and weekends (our busiest times)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stay physically active throughout the shift
  • Able to lift, carry, and move sports equipment and field dividers
  • Able to reconfigure the playing surface between sports — including moving soccer goals, batting cages, nets, and turf partitions
  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving around a large facility for extended periods

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with sports — especially soccer, flag football, softball, baseball — is a big plus!
