Job description

This is a 12-month limited-term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs.
The Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD), Adult and Senior Care Special Projects Unit, is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time, 2-year Limited Term Analyst II position.

If you enjoy challenging assignments aimed at ensuring the health and safety protections of vulnerable persons in care, then the Adult and Senior Care Special Projects Unit may be just for you.
We are seeking a motivated and capable individual with experience working with statutes and regulations, analyzing proposed legislation, preparing planning and decision documents, presenting recommendations to management, and working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external partners on complex policy issues. Experience with developing regulations, instructional memos and manual procedures are desirable and candidates with this breadth of experience will be given priority consideration. This Analyst II position offers all these exciting opportunities in a pleasant and positive work environment. Office is in close proximity to light rail, downtown plaza and other eateries, including a seasonal farmers market only a couple blocks away.

Working Conditions
This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance of the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmers' markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.
This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.
Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.
