We are currently looking for an Internal Quality Auditor for our new factory in Columbus, Ohio.This position will be primarily responsible for conducting internal audits of product and process quality to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. This role focuses on verifying that manufacturing and operational processes meet internal standards and customer expectations through systematic inspections and audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed product inspections to verify conformance to specifications and identify any deviations or nonconformities.
  • Conduct process audits on the production floor to assess adherence to documented procedures and standard work.
  • Understand the solar industry's defect classification standards, determine acceptable quality limits, and document these criteria.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute internal audits of processes, products, and systems in accordance with the ISO 9001 internal audit program.
  • Prepare audit reports with clear findings, evidence, and recommendations for improvement or corrective action.
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to verify implementation and effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized audit records and documentation.
  • Assist with external audits by certification bodies or customers.
  • Provide training or guidance on ISO 9001 requirements and audit best practices when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (any field) or 5+ years of auditing experience in an ISO 9001 or similar regulated environment.
  • Able to work cross functional and under pressure and communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
  • Experience in Solar Industry is a plus.
  • Familiar with product and process audit criteria
  • Experience in manufacturing operations and quality within the solar, optoelectronics, semiconductor or automotive industries.
  • Adept in root cause and technical analysis to identify product defects and drive escalation of issues to quality managers and other cross-functional groups such as Production, Equipment and Process Engineering.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
