Social media content creator
Department: ASUCLA Marketing
Job Code: 167
Payrate: $21.40
Days/Hours:
Monday-Friday; 8-12 hours per week
Duties
The social media content creator will be responsible for planning and posting multimedia content for all @asucla and @UCLAStore social media channels. Additional duties include monitoring posts, engaging with followers in a manner that upholds ASUCLA's mission and vision, editing video and photo content, and contributing to team planning efforts.
Key responsibilities
  • Be highly organized and efficient in all aspects of work, with an emphasis on schedule planning and content management
  • Work closely with current student content creators, supervisor and manager
  • Create compelling content to represent ASUCLA and its products, programs, services and facilities on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Threads and Facebook.
  • Drive growth and engagement across social channels
  • Initiate self-driven creative projects to heighten engagement on the ASUCLA channels
  • On-camera presence and use of your image in ASUCLA social media and marketing materials
  • Engage followers and ASUCLA members across all social media in a way that best reflects ASUCLA's mission and values
  • Research and monitor upcoming trends
  • Analyze post performances and page statistics

Requirements
  • Must be available to work in-office; in-person availability over summer quarter is required
  • Be engaged in social media and have an understanding of Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter
  • Photo and video editing knowledge is preferred (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Be attentive to detail
  • Have the ability to organize and manage multiple projects
  • Must be comfortable working in front of a camera/engaging others in front of a camera
  • Work collaboratively in group settings
  • Meet weekly deadlines
  • Enrolled as a student at UCLA
