Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in distributed systems, messaging frameworks, real-time data pipelines, and cloud-native platforms, with the ability to guide both technical design and strategic adoption across the enterprise.
 
• Experience with Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop).
• Knowledge of financial services, banking, or credit-union domain is a plus.
• Prior experience in architecting large-scale migration from legacy messaging (IBM MQ, TIBCO, etc.) to Kafka.
• Certification in Kafka, Confluent, or Cloud platforms.
 
 Key Responsibilities 
• Define enterprise-wide Kafka architecture, design principles, and best practices.
• Lead the design and deployment of high-throughput, low-latency streaming platforms using Apache Kafka.
• Architect and manage data pipelines, including producers, consumers, schema registries, and stream processing (Kafka Streams, ksqlDB, Flink, Spark).
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance of Kafka clusters in on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Establish governance, monitoring, and security models for Kafka clusters.
• Partner with application teams to modernize architectures into event-driven, microservices-based solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
