Job description

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to deliver scalable data models, executive dashboards, self-service analytics, and data storytelling. The ideal candidate will partner with cross-functional leaders, mentor team members, and help define the organization's BI strategy while ensuring data quality, governance, and best practices.

This is a full-time, salaried, remote position. Candidate must reside within the Continental U.S. Eastern or Central time zones highly preferred, but all are welcome to apply who can support 8:30AM-5:30PM (EST) hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions.
  • Partner with executive leadership, product, sales, marketing, and operations teams to define KPIs and reporting strategies.
  • Architect scalable semantic models and reporting standards across the organization.
  • Develop executive, operational, and customer-facing analytics products.
  • Leverage Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms to transform and optimize large datasets for reporting.
  • Drive adoption of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI technologies.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to improve data pipelines and data quality.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Establish data governance, metric definitions, and reporting best practices.
  • Mentor junior BI engineers and analysts while promoting engineering excellence.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and extensive experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent BI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic layers, KPI frameworks, and enterprise reporting architecture.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and optimizing query performance.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commitment to data quality, governance, and documentation.

Preferred Experience

  • Automotive industry experience with dealership, OEM, consumer, telematics, aftermarket, finance, or mobility data.
  • Experience with Python, dbt, analytics engineering workflows, and modern ELT architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud ecosystems and data integration technologies.
  • Experience building customer-facing analytics products.
  • Experience mentoring teams in a remote-first environment.

COMPENSATION
Compensation commensurate on experience. Participation in company benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, unlimited paid leave, 401(k) matching, wellness, and more. The expected salary range for this position is $140,000–$170,000 annually. The final offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
