Urgently Hiring

As we continue to expand, we are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Full-Time Fleet Mechanic for our Louisville, KY location.

TNT is looking for a skilled level 2 mechanic. The applicant understands small engines, both gas and diesel, but is stronger in one than the other. Can perform essential preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take the next step.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Repair automobiles, heavy trucks, and other motor vehicles and nonmotor vehicles as needed
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
  • Perform quality inspections before returning to service
  • Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely
  • Complete required daily paperwork, document parts, and material usage
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Valid driver's license with less than 4 violation points that meets the company's insurance criteria
  • Own tools

The physical demands described here must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The technician must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this seat include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on:

  • Small engines
  • Automotive equipment
  • Power washing equipment
  • Various mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Welding equipment
  • Jacks and hoists
  • Perform routine maintenance including:
  • Oil changes
  • Battery checks
  • Lubrication of equipment and machinery

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic
  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environments
  • Valid driver’s license with fewer than four points
  • hold a valid MEC, or able to obtain MEC once onboarded
  • Ability to lift: Up to 25 lbs frequently, Up to 50 lbs often, Up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and work with hands and arms throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
