Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | School-Based | Early Childhood

Join Our School-Based Team!

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in an Early Learning program. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children ages 3-5 years old, helping them develop critical communication and language skills in a supportive educational environment.

Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will assist in providing speech and language services, implementing treatment plans, documenting student progress, and supporting student success throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services
  • Implement treatment plans and interventions developed by the supervising SLP
  • Support clinical, educational, treatment, and documentation activities
  • Monitor student progress and communicate updates to the supervising SLP
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Follow all applicable state regulations, district policies, and professional standards
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families as appropriate
QualificationsRequired:
  • Graduate of an SLPA program with an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork experience (or equivalent clinical experience as required by state regulations)
  • Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
  • One (1) year of prior SLPA experience
