Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Every other Sat, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
*Position is in office and on job sites
Job Summary: The Kitchen and Bath Designer is responsible for creating functional and visually appealing kitchen and bathroom spaces that meet clients' needs and preferences. This role requires strong design skills, customer engagement, and sales expertise. Designers work closely with clients from concept to completion, ensuring a seamless experience while supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, guiding them through the design process from concept to completion
  • Present design concepts confidently, demonstrating expertise and the value of proposed solutions
  • Conduct site visits, taking precise measurements to ensure accurate design layouts
  • Develop functional and aesthetically pleasing designs using 20/20 Design software
  • Assist clients in selecting cabinetry, materials, and finishes while balancing aesthetics and cost considerations both by appointment & walk-ins
  • Collaborate with outside sales rep. to identify internal opportunities with existing customer base
  • Generate accurate cost estimates and thoroughly review all project details, including product selection, pricing, lead times, and manufacturer warranties
  • Obtain client sign-offs on all final project details
  • Place orders with various e-ordering programs and review orders for accuracy
  • Work closely with contractors and project managers to ensure seamless execution of designs
  • Monitor project timelines, proactively resolving any issues that arise
  • Participate in vendor training to stay informed about design trends and new products
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance skills and improve design processes
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold exceptional customer service standards

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • 3+ years of experience in kitchen and bath design, interior design, or architectural design preferred
  • Strong understanding of space planning, cabinetry design, and material selection
  • Proficiency in 2020 Design software
  • Experience with Epicor BisTrack software is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
