Shift Schedule: 2:00pm - 11:00pm
Salary: Starting at $72,000 annually, DOE (Depending on Experience)
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Night Processing & Shipping Supervisor to lead our night shift operations at our Fresno facility. This is a working supervisor position for someone who enjoys leading by example, driving operational excellence, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
The ideal candidate has experience in metal processing, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Position Summary
The Night Processing & Shipping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing nightly operations within the Processing Department while supporting overall Night Crew operations. This role oversees workflow, employee development, safety compliance, quality control, and shipping accuracy to ensure production goals are met efficiently.
This is a working leadership role, meaning the supervisor actively operates equipment and works alongside the team while providing direction, coaching, and support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Machine Operators and Order Checkers.
  • Lead nightly processing and shipping operations to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage staffing, workflow, labor allocation, and overtime to meet production demands.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained by verifying:
    • Correct material selection
    • Accurate order fulfillment
    • Packaging and shipping standards
  • Train employees on:
    • Safety procedures
    • Company policies and processes
    • Product knowledge
    • Equipment operation and essential job functions
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Maintain organization and housekeeping throughout the Processing Department.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management.
  • Partner with the Night Crew Supervisor to promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
  • Assist with facility shutdown and security procedures at the end of each shift.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications
Required High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in metal processing or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Technical or vocational training.
  • Knowledge of steel products, shapes, and grades.
  • Experience operating metal processing equipment such as:
    • Bandsaws
    • Lasers
    • Press Brakes
    • Other fabrication equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and mechanical drawings.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and outdoor environment.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around noise, airborne particles, and industrial equipment.
  • Experience safely operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and processing equipment is preferred.
