Get to Know Your Team:
  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities
  • The Facility Risk Management is responsible for the execution of the Ardent Risk Management Program across their facility.
  • This position develops and supports facility level risk management activities and programs.
  • This position will manage the Risk Management needs across the facility, including risk management policy and procedure implementation, risk identification and mitigation, provide risk management related education, support and event investigations.

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and present programmatic materials in front of an audience greater than 20 people, including senior leadership at the facility and corporate levels.
  • Critical thinking, prioritization of work streams and projects
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite / Windows applications and other systems
  • Experience prioritizing, conducting, and documenting investigations is require

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience is desired. BSN is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare risk management
