JOB SUMMARY
The Editor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit's written materials. Responsible for planning and creating all written materials, including the materials for the Executive Compliance Committee and the Audit Committee. A few of the main duties of the Editor are editing copy and improving on it, partnering with personnel to create high-quality, comprehensive materials, identifying ways to improve the flow of materials, and advising personnel on content pieces.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
  • Education
    Bachelor's Degree in English, journalism, or relevant study.
  • Experience
    2 years in professional writing and/or editing required, with a preference in the healthcare space.
    Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and proofreading skills, and ability to communicate complex concepts at comprehension levels appropriate to groups across campus.
    Has strong analytic abilities and demonstrates wise independent judgement, detail-oriented and a strategic thinker.

JOB DUTIES
  • Responsible for editing reports, memos, letters, and other Office of Compliance and Internal Audit documents.
  • Produces website content and informational materials.
  • Delivers high-quality, polished content to provide stakeholders with the necessary information.
  • Performs reviews of Audit Committee materials, investigation reports, audit reports, and patient letters produced by personnel within the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure professional standards are met.
  • Ensures compliance with the Office of Compliance and Internal Audit corporate branding requirements.
  • Assists with the creation, storage, protection, retrieval, and retirement of templates.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with personnel to achieve objectives of report assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
