Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking professional and highly motivated Security Guard to join our Security Operations team in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at a Construction site.

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, thrive in fast-paced operational environments, and are committed to delivering exceptional security services. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting valuable equipment, materials, and unfinished structures from theft, vandalism, and trespassing. Their core duties involve controlling site access, conducting routine perimeter patrols, monitoring digital surveillance systems, checking for safety or fire hazards, and documenting daily activity logs.

Position Details:

Title: Security Guard 

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Shifts: 0700-1500 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access control for the facility/area
  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
  • Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
  • Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
  • Vehicle Gate and Console duties

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Valid Manitoba security guard license.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be proficient using computer
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
