Job description

Reports To: Security Lead Officer / Director of Security

Location: Sea Colony, Bethany Beach, DE

Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time/Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Sea Colony is seeking a hard-working, energetic, and vigilant Security Officer who is passionate about delivering on the promise of excellence in customer service and safety. In this role, you will be a visible presence in our community, dedicated to protecting our property and providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our owners, guests, and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Patrol & Monitoring
  • Conduct patrols of the entire property via golf cart and foot to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitor the site for rule violations, parking violations, suspicious activities or disturbances and report them promptly.
  • Monitor access to the property, its facilities and amenities.

     B. Customer Service & Communication

  • Interface in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner with all employees, owners, guests, and vendors.
  • Assist guests with issues, providing directions, and offering a reassuring presence.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to make sound decisions independently with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of dependability and integrity.

Preferred

  • Training or experience in security, military, and/or law enforcement.
  • First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The Security Officer must be able to perform all essential job functions in a resort environment, both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time.
  • Reach overhead and below the waist.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist.
