Job description

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as a Clerical Representative. This position will be located onsite at a hospital in Springfield, IL. The full time schedule for this role will be 8 AM-4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
Elevate Patient Financial Solutions serves hospital and health system clients’ revenue cycle management needs by helping patients connect with potential coverage and resolving complex claims.
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide all clerical functions required by each assigned team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receives and processes all incoming and outgoing packages which would include Medical Records, EOB’s, and supporting claim documents to and from all facilities assigned. Ensure packages are processed, packaged, and submitted properly and according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Coordination and transmission of all documents sent to be scanned into the appropriate system(s). Ensure documents are processed and submitted properly and according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Review and check-in all documents once they have been scanned into the appropriate system(s). Ensure documents are properly scanned and assigned to the correct accounts and/or facilities.
  • Receiving and processing of all patient letters to be mailed. Ensure all letters are processed, addressed, packaged, and submitted properly and according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Printing and organization of all claim forms and additional correspondence to be submitted by the assigned billing representative. Ensure documents are handled and transmitted properly and per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • ​Regular and timely attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Type 35 wpm minimum.
  • Ten key by touch. 6000+ kph minimum required.
  • Min. 1 year of clerical/office experience preferred.
  • Remote and Hybrid positions require home internet connections that meet the Company’s upload and download speed criteria.
