What is a full time SAP internship?

Full Time SAP Internships are temporary, full-time positions where students or recent graduates gain hands-on experience working with SAP software and solutions in a business environment. These internships typically involve working on real projects using SAP technologies, learning from experienced professionals, and developing technical and business skills. Interns often contribute to areas such as software configuration, data analysis, system integration, and process optimization. These positions are valuable for those looking to start a career in enterprise software, IT consulting, or related fields.

What kind of projects and tasks can I expect to work on during a full-time SAP internship?

As a full-time SAP intern, you will typically be involved in hands-on projects such as supporting SAP system implementations, assisting with data migration, troubleshooting user issues, and participating in process improvement initiatives. Interns often collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and business analysts, to gain a comprehensive understanding of SAP modules and real-world business processes. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can develop technical skills, gain exposure to enterprise software, and build a strong foundation for potential full-time opportunities within the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time SAP intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time SAP Intern, you generally need a background in business administration, information systems, or computer science, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging - but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed. What You’ll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Product Management, Event Technology & Digital Platforms

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Anticipated Start Date: October 2026

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week

As a Product Management Intern within the Digital Platforms team, you will be at the forefront of how enterprise events are planned, delivered, and measured at scale. You will support the "Build & Run" operations for SAP's self-service event platform and T1 event digital experiences — from registration and content delivery to post-event analytics. This role is designed for a high-potential individual who wants to master the intersection of Event Technology, SAFe Agile delivery, and AI-driven audience engagement.

Key Product Responsibilities

Event Platform Operations: Support day-to-day run operations of SAP's self-service event platform, coordinating production schedules and ensuring digital event assets meet SAP's standards for quality, governance, and metadata accuracy.

Requirements & Roadmap Support: Translate event stakeholder needs into clear product requirements — documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specs for platform enhancements across registration, streaming, and engagement tooling.

Data-Driven Insights: Utilize event analytics to track platform performance, attendee engagement metrics, and session conversion rates — moving from reporting to actionable analysis.

AI & Personalization Integration: Assist in the deployment and monitoring of AI-driven features — such as personalized agenda recommendations and intelligent content surfacing — to improve attendee experience across T1 and self-service events.

Agile Value Delivery: Actively participate in SAFe ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Help manage the Team Backlog with a focus on user stories tied to event platform capabilities and attendee journey improvements.

Governance & Responsible AI: Assist in audits to ensure all event platform AI features adhere to SAP's Responsible AI standards, with a focus on data privacy, attendee consent, and transparency.

Digital Transformation: Support the rollout of industry-leading event technology integrations — including Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), CMS-driven event microsites, and campaign environments tied to SAP's flagship events.

What You’ll Bring

A curious and agile mindset, with a passion for learning and the resilience to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly and effectively. Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that support inclusive teamwork and thoughtful stakeholder engagement. A growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence — paired with a results-oriented approach and the courage to take initiative.

Education: Pursuing a degree in Marketing Technology, Business, Computer Science, Digital Transformation, or a related field.

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.

Core Skills & Qualifications

Methodology: Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum or SAFe 6.0 and how sprints move a product from vision to launch.

Event Tech Literacy: Familiarity with event management platforms (e.g., Cvent, ON24, Hopin, or similar) or enterprise-grade CMS and marketing automation platforms.

Platform Literacy: Exposure to Adobe Experience Cloud (AEP, AEM, Analytics) or comparable enterprise MarTech stack is a plus.

Technical Tools: Proficiency in Jira/Confluence for workflow and backlog management; Figma for reviewing UX/prototype designs.

Communication: Ability to translate event business requirements into clear technical specifications when working with engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders globally.

Beyond core skills, we want someone who:

  • Has a digital-first mindset and a genuine curiosity for how technology shapes live and virtual event experiences
  • Is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple deliverables under real event deadlines
  • Can collaborate across global teams — from field marketing to engineering
  • Has strong attention to detail, especially around data accuracy and content quality
  • Is eager to learn and willing to grow into the evolving event tech landscape
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with basic knowledge of design and web production tools
  • Demonstrates Cognitive Empathy — the ability to map attendee journeys and understand how digital touchpoints shape the event experience

Where You Belong

The Digital Platforms team manages the technology and programs that power SAP's most visible digital properties and flagship events. We own the self-service event platform, T1 event digital experiences, and the underlying MarTech stack that connects events to pipeline.

We are "Customer Zero" for SAP's own Business AI — applying it first to our own event and digital platforms before it reaches the market. By joining us, you're not just supporting events — you're helping build the next generation of intelligent, data-driven event experiences.
