Join Team AMT! Now hiring for full-time MedValet Shuttle Wheelchair Driver in Peoria!
Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance and patient transport services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.
As part of our MedValet team in the Quad Cities market, you will be responsible for ensuring patients' compassionate, safe and efficient transfer between healthcare facilities. This role will work variable shifts/hours during the week and alternating weekends. Please be aware that transports are assigned throughout the scheduled shift hours. It is common for drivers to work well-past their scheduled shift end times.
Job Duties:
  • Supervise patients during transportation
  • Assist the patient in and out of the shuttle vehicle with use of wheelchair
  • Comfort patients and families by offering support an encouragement, respecting procedure schedules, and demonstrating care and cultural sensitivity
  • Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
  • Maintain current State of Illinois drivers license
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Present and promote a positive company image
