RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse

Mon-Fri Position

At Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients and a supportive work environment for our staff. As a RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, while also contributing to the overall quality and safety of our facility.

About the RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse:

As a full-time RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of infection control practices and policies across our 103-bed facility. This includes conducting routine surveys, identifying and addressing potential risks, and developing and implementing measures to prevent and control the spread of infections. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care in a safe and clean environment.

RN Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine surveys and assessments to identify potential infection control risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures, including protocols for isolation precautions, hand hygiene, and standard precautions

  • Educate staff on infection control practices and protocols, and provide ongoing training and feedback

  • Collaborate with the facility's infection control team to develop and implement effective infection control measures

  • Monitor and report infection rates, and work with the quality improvement team to develop and implement interventions to reduce infections

  • Participate in facility-wide initiatives to improve patient safety and satisfaction

  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on topics such as patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice

  • Conduct observational evaluations of nursing staff to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training plans
