Registered Nurse (RN) Mid Shift- Emergency Department (ED) Unit for Texas Health Denton

Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201

Work hours: Full-Time Mid Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 3:00 pm -3:00 am

  *Sign-on bonus for eligible RN's (eligible upon hire with a signed 2-year retention agreement)

Here's What You Need

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - within 90 days of hire
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • 2-3 year ER experience preferred.
  • ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course - 12 months required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - 12 months required
  • PALS - within 90 days of hire

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
