Job description

StoneCrest Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse, RN House Supervisor (Inpatient Psychiatric Nursing) to join the team in Detroit, MI.

About Us: Join the StoneCrest Center team and make a difference every day! We are Detroit's leading Mental Health and Psychiatric Hospital offering comprehensive inpatient treatment for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our programming addresses behavioral and mental health concerns, as well as co-occurring substance use disorders (SUD).

Shift Availability:

Full-time / Nights: 7:00p.m. - 7:30a.m. (every other weekend rotation)

What You'll Do: 

  • Assess patients’ behavioral and physical health needs and deliver compassionate, traumainformed nursing care.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing treatment plans throughout the continuum of care.
  • Safely administer medications, including behavioral health and detox protocols, with accurate documentation and controlled substance tracking.
  • Monitor patient status on an ongoing basis and communicate significant behavioral or medical changes to providers and the care team.
  • Educate patients and families, maintain compliant medical records, and adhere to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish therapeutic, professional relationships while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient recovery.

What You Bring: 

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current, unrestricted RN license (or eligibility to practice) in the state of employment.
  • At least one year of nursing experience; behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification and willingness to complete deescalation and restraint training (provided upon hire, if needed).
  • First Aid certification, as required by state or facility guidelines.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to documentation, and the ability to remain calm and therapeutic in behavioral health settings.
