Location: Williamsport, PA

Position Summary

West Penn Heavy Haul is seeking a Load Securement Professional to support heavy haul and rig move operations. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring all loads are properly secured, inspected, and compliant with DOT regulations prior to transport.

In addition to securement duties, this role assists with on-the-ground field activities between loads, including supporting safe work practices and jobsite coordination as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all loads prior to transport for proper securement, accuracy, and DOT compliance
  • Apply DOT load securement regulations and company standards to oversized and overweight loads
  • Identify and correct securement issues or hazards before departure
  • Install, adjust, and remove chains, binders, straps, and other securement devices
  • Document load inspections, securement methods, and compliance records
  • Communicate securement requirements and corrections with drivers and supervisors
  • Assist with general field work during rig moves and between load movements
  • Support safe jobsite practices by monitoring conditions and reporting hazards
  • Participate in job safety briefings and follow site-specific safety requirements
  • Maintain securement tools and equipment in safe, working condition
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with company safety expectations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in heavy haul load securement, rigging, or specialized transportation required
  • Working knowledge of DOT load securement regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, compliant work
  • Ability to recognize potential hazards and communicate concerns
  • Comfortable working on active jobsites and around heavy equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and secure materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb on and off trailers, trucks, and loads safely
  • Comfortable working at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to work in varying weather and field environments
