Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow, Puppy Chow, Alpo, Beneful, Purina ONE, Cat Chow, Friskies, and Kit N Kaboodle.As a Forklift Operator, you will perform a variety of tasks within our warehouse including loading trucks, unloading trucks, case picking product, and staging finished product as it is released from our packing area. Successful candidates must maintain a great attendance record and must be able to work overtime and off shifts.Must be open to working any shift, including 2nd, 3rd, and/or weekend shifts.Operate forklifts with various attachments (pull-pack, slip sheet, etc.) in a bustling warehouse.Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and all shipping instructions are followed.Move finished product from the production line and store it in the correct location in the warehouse.Case pick product following all guidelines using an RF scanner, hand wrap and label products, and stage in the appropriate location.Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation and cleaning.Regularly lift items up to 55 pounds.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required6+ months of forklift experience in a production, manufacturing, military or related environmentThe approximate pay for this position is$25.78 per hour for Forklift Operator. After the probationary period, the pay will increase to $29.56 per hour. Once classified for a position after a year, the pay will increase to $38.03 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
