Job description

Miss A Stores Inc. is currently seeking an organized, motivated, and reliable Retail Maintenance Associate to join our expanding team in Dallas, Texas! As a Retail Maintenance Associate, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance duties to include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and monthly preventative maintenance on all Miss A locations & HQ facility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize urgent needs for all store locations and HQ facilities
  • Address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and manage critical maintenance supplies to ensure all costs are kept within budget
  • Performs the systematic monthly preventative maintenance and maintaining monthly log
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, installing of water heaters, unclogging of drains, etc.)
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches, incandescent and florescent bulbs/tubes, ballast, sockets, fuse, minor appliance cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using a brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes)
  • Assemble, reconfigures, installs, and remounts modular offices, warehouses, and retail stores (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, file cabinets, wall décor, light fixtures, etc.)
  • Prepares the surfaces and paints various types of structures and equipment
  • Responds to various service requests and provides corrective action
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with store management, retail operations and other internal partners on maintenance plans/schedules
  • Track asset conditions and maintenance history planning for upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning
  • Track and measure maintenance performance to identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of facility maintenance experience (preferably in Retail Store setting)
  • Strong overall knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and power tools/equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills. This includes the ability to collaborate with a diverse workforce
  • Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, and emailing.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required for effective communications with all levels of the organization
  • Must have reliable transportation & a valid driver’s license

  • Stand for long periods of time
