Job description
Opportunity: Beach Attendant
Responsible for servicing the guests' needs and maintaining the cleanliness of beach, pools, and health clubs in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions
- Ensure security of beach, pool and health club access, as well as guest and hotel property.
- Be conscious of guests' whereabouts and activities at all times, especially children.
- Instruct and enforce hotel policies regarding towels, chairs, umbrellas, and pool usage.
- Prepare beach, pools, spas, and health clubs for guest use.
- Provide basic first aid to any guest when needed. Request additional help if needed.
- Service, clean, and rotate through all assigned areas. Collect trash and debris, wipe down chairs, railings and equipment.
- Handle pool chemicals and reagents in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Partake in water safety training session.
- Properly handle and report any employee or guest accidents and incidents.
- Sweep beach sand from walkways, stairwell and pool deck. Clean beach: Sanitize trash bins.
- Organize and maintain all outdoor and rescue equipment.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous related experience preferred.
Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
