JACQUET is an established market leader in the processing and distribution of specialty stainless steel and nickel alloys in plate and round bar. Jacquet strives to be the best supplier of stainless steel and nickel cut parts by providing high quality in-house processing. Metals are sold either as-is or cut to made-to-measure sizes using plasma machines, water jets, lasers or saws. Jacquet applications cover many industrial sectors such as the water, environment, energy, mechanical and forged metal construction, chemical and agri-food, gas processing and storage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. We have four strategically placed locations within the US including Pennsylvania, California, Texas, and Wisconsin with many more globally.
We are currently seeking a CAD Programmer to support the sales efforts of the company. The CAD Programmer will be successful in this position through accurate programming, nesting, inventory control and scheduling of the cutting machines (Plasma, Water Jet, Laser, and Saw). An integral part of this job is the ability to communicate with sales, customers, operators, and management regarding issues that present themselves including schedules and changes.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Be proficient in 2D AutoCAD Lantek software.
  • Understand the fundamentals of sheet metal layout and design.
  • Create flat patterns for water jet and plasma cutting and account for allowable tolerances.
  • Inventory control and accuracy are essential, including usage of the smallest available rems.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Provide check drawings to operators for quality control after parts are cut.
  • Daily communication of the schedules, problems, and opportunities that may arise.
  • Scrap control - minimize scrap through use of nesting software Lantek.
  • Assist with month-end process by updating inventory reports.
  • Read, understand basic blueprint and drawings.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the Operations or General Manager.
  • Ability to work with others safely and professionally.
  • Be a team player.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Familiarity with Lantek software.
  • Ability to learn.

  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, reach.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment.
