This remote position allows you to deliver care from the comfort of your own home while also collaborating with a diverse and supportive team of mental health professionals. Your typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs. With access to a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system, you will efficiently manage scheduling, documentation, and patient communication, ensuring a seamless therapeutic experience.

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to develop tailored treatment plans that address each patient’s individual needs.
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that treatment modalities are respectful and responsive to the specific cultural and personal backgrounds of your clients.
• Provide a range of therapeutic services including individual, family, and group therapy, aiming to address various mental health concerns while promoting resilience and personal growth.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.
• Assist with crisis intervention efforts, providing timely support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, fostering empowerment and informed decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
• Engage actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and expertise while participating in ongoing cultural competency and professional development initiatives.

Your role will primarily involve working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those at risk or facing unique challenges such as systemic oppression or discrimination. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals, including those from marginalized communities, receive equitable mental health support that is culturally affirming and inclusive.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid license in New York as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R).
• A demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic techniques, as well as an ability to apply a culturally competent approach in therapy.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive practices.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities with the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating strong rapport with clients from varied identities.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general software applications relevant to mental health practice.
• A commitment to adhering to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing professional boundaries.

• Previous experience working within a multicultural setting and treating clients with varying cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with best practices related to telehealth and remote therapy techniques.
• Continuous engagement in professional development and education related to mental health and cultural competence.

The position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
