Grace Place Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care to a diverse clientele. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, all while contributing to the overall mission of enhancing mental health outcomes for our patients.

This remote counseling position offers a flexible work setting that promotes work-life balance while maintaining accountability and collaboration among team members. Even though you will be working remotely, you will remain closely connected with your colleagues through regular virtual meetings and collaborative case discussions, ensuring a supportive network is always in place.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments, including mental health evaluations, client histories, and presenting issues to establish a foundational understanding of each client.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate therapeutic modalities catered to the diverse needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, using data-driven assessments to ensure positive therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Provide education and resources to clients and their families to aid in managing mental health challenges and promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with regulatory standards.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey is essential.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical for effective documentation and client interaction.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach toward clients.

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly in outpatient services, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to effectively manage patient data.
• Experience working with clients facing a range of issues, including dual diagnoses and co-occurring disorders.
• Understanding of the latest psychotherapy techniques and best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
