• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine patients' needs and craft individualized treatment plans based on best practices.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective counseling to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups to promote mental health awareness and foster community support among participants.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure coordinated patient care and achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Respond to mental health crises with appropriate intervention strategies, ensuring patient safety and well-being during emergencies.
• Provide education regarding mental health issues, treatment processes, and available community resources to empower patients in their recovery journey.
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and promote best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in the mental health field to continually improve therapeutic approaches.

You will primarily work with a broad patient population, which includes individuals experiencing various mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing support to clients who are navigating life stressors, developmental transitions, and mental health crises. You will play a vital role in helping patients develop coping strategies, enhance their resilience, and overall, improve their quality of life.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in Maryland as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C, which is essential for delivering clinical services.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the principles of effective therapeutic practice.
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and provide high-quality mental health care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the willingness to adopt new technology as needed.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to being a part of a multidisciplinary team.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Prior experience in a community health or outpatient setting, particularly with diverse populations.
• Experience in group therapy and psychoeducational facilitation.
• Demonstrated success in treatment planning and execution for various mental health issues.
