Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans for clients, taking into consideration their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Draft pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, medication treatment plans, and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation to meet regulatory standards, utilizing specific electronic health record systems as needed.
  • Employ evidence-based screening tools to assist in evaluations and treatment modifications, ensuring optimal care for clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated support services, enhancing overall client outcomes.

  • Build and maintain effective communications with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders to facilitate resource sharing and relationship development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily serve diverse populations, including individuals seeking mental health support, those in recovery from substance use, and clients with developmental disabilities. The clinic's inclusive approach means you'll work with clients from various backgrounds and circumstances, empowering you to apply your skills in tailored ways that resonate with each individual.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is mandatory; a Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is preferred.
  • An independent LMHC license issued by the state board.
  • Experience maintaining comprehensive clinical records and generating relevant reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
