Calm Seas Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for an experienced LCSW, LPC, or LMFT who is passionate about providing culturally sensitive mental health care to diverse populations. Our team operates in a fully remote setting, enabling flexibility for both therapists and patients. This arrangement allows our Licensed Mental Health Therapists to connect with clients in a comfortable environment, whether they are at home or utilizing our clinic's digital tools. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet clients' needs.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that incorporate cultural sensitivity, ensuring that therapy is relevant and responsive to each client's unique background.
• Implement tailored therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practices, while also considering patients’ cultural identities in therapy sessions.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to promote mental wellness, resilience, and personal growth.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to devise comprehensive treatment plans that support each client's recovery journey.
• Respond to mental health crises with appropriate intervention techniques, maintaining a calm demeanor to provide effective support during emergency situations.
• Provide education to patients and their families about various mental health conditions and treatment options, as well as connecting them to valuable community resources.
• Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accurate documentation that adheres to clinical and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing case conferences, cultural competency training, and team meetings to foster a collaborative atmosphere and enhance service delivery.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mental health to continually improve therapeutic methods.

The therapist will work with a diverse array of clients, including those from multicultural backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals facing the complexities of immigrant life. This role emphasizes the importance of cultural competence in fostering trust and rapport, essential components in the therapeutic process. You will have the opportunity to tailor interventions to meet the specific cultural, emotional, and psychological needs of our clients.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment options, particularly those that are culturally competent.
• Experience delivering therapeutic services in individual and group settings with a focus on culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, with the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and related software to manage client information effectively.
• A commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Experience working with multicultural populations and tailoring interventions to fit their unique needs.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach and engage clients in various therapeutic settings.
• Knowledge of community resources and advocacy efforts relevant to mental health.

Calm Seas Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
