Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs, enabling you to formulate personalized and effective treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy sessions employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused strategies.
• Assist clients in establishing achievable mental health goals, and guide them through actionable steps to reach these objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality.
• Proactively engage in professional development opportunities, including attending workshops and staying current with evidence-based practices, enhancing both personal and organizational growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will serve a diverse client population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. Understanding and embracing the individuality of each client will be fundamental to your role, as you tailor therapeutic interventions to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
• Current and active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) license in the state of Vermont.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapy to a multicultural client base, showing cultural competence and sensitivity.
• Solid background in evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport and trust with clients and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, working within outpatient mental health settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client documentation and scheduling efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
