About the RoleADF Engineering is seeking a full-time
Mid-Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in
Dayton, OH. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer who thrives on variety and enjoys working on challenging projects that span multiple industries.
You'll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers committed to excellence, innovation, and delivering high-impact results for clients-including Fortune 500 companies.
What You'll Be DoingAs an electrical engineer at ADF, you'll work closely with other engineers and designers to develop creative, efficient, and safe electrical designs for a wide range of industrial projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the electrical design for low-voltage (600V and below) power distribution systems.
- Develop one-line diagrams, lighting layouts, and specify MCCs, switchgear, and distribution panels.
- Apply NFPA 70E, NEC, and local/state codes to meet the highest safety and design standards.
- Conduct short circuit, arc flash, coordination, and load studies using industrystandard software (e.g., SKM, EasyPower).
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to solve engineering challenges
- Collaborate with clients during design, construction, and commissioning phasesoccasional travel required (<20%).
- Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and best practices
- Contribute to project planning, estimating, and scheduling efforts.
What We're Looking ForMandatory Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in industrial settings such as agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, or biofuels
- Prior experience with a consulting/design firm
