• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments for patients entering the detox center, gathering essential information regarding their mental health history and substance use.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate clinical best practices and meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Provide both individual and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address a wide range of mental health issues.
• Facilitate crisis interventions and support patients in navigating acute situations, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
• Accurately document patient progress in electronic medical records, maintaining confidentiality while complying with all regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors—to develop cohesive treatment strategies that enhance patient care.
• Participate actively in team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment approaches.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and research in the mental health field, integrating evidence-based practices into your clinical work to maximize patient outcomes.

Our client population primarily consists of individuals undergoing detoxification from substance use disorders, accompanied by co-occurring mental health conditions. This role is essential in addressing the complexities of mental health issues associated with addiction, increasing the likelihood of successful recovery and long-term wellness. You will engage with a diverse group of patients, fostering an inclusive environment that respects each person’s background and experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong theoretical foundation in clinical practice.
• A valid and current license to practice clinical social work in the state of New Jersey.
• Proven experience in providing psychotherapy to individuals with a variety of mental health challenges, particularly in the context of substance use disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and treatment team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and telehealth platforms to facilitate patient care.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to evidence-based treatment guidelines.

• Experience in a detox or inpatient facility context, particularly with addiction treatment.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices, enhancing your skill set in engaging with patients who have experienced significant distress.
• Advanced certifications or training in specialized therapeutic modalities.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
