What is a full time remote RN?

A Full Time Remote RN is a registered nurse who works full time from a non-traditional setting, such as their home, using technology to provide patient care, education, and support. These nurses may work in roles like telehealth, case management, triage, or patient education, communicating with patients and healthcare teams through phone, video, or online platforms. Remote RNs must be licensed and have strong communication and technical skills to deliver high-quality care outside of a traditional clinical environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time remote RN?

To thrive as a Full Time Remote RN, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience in telehealth or remote patient care. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, EHR systems, and secure communication tools is essential. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills help you deliver effective patient care while working independently. These skills and qualities are vital to ensure patient safety, maintain high care standards, and succeed in a remote healthcare environment.

How do full time remote RNs typically collaborate with healthcare teams and patients while working from home?

Full Time Remote RNs often use secure digital platforms to communicate with physicians, care managers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care coordination. They may conduct virtual patient assessments, manage follow-ups, and document care plans electronically. Job description

Position Overview

The Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide essential therapeutic services catering to children and families facing developmental and intellectual challenges. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while still making a profound impact on the lives of our clients.

About the Organization

At Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic, we are committed to delivering comprehensive mental health services that prioritize the well-being of children and families. Our clinic specializes in intensive in-community therapeutic interventions, particularly for youth with developmental disabilities. With a strong emphasis on individualized care, we work collaboratively with families to develop strategies and skills that foster positive outcomes in their daily lives.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, allowing therapists the flexibility to manage their schedules while focusing on their passionate work of supporting families. The therapeutic services are provided primarily in an outpatient office setting and in-home therapy sessions, meaning you will have the opportunity to interact closely with both children and their caregivers. You will collaborate with a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring that the support provided is both comprehensive and tailored to each unique situation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual or group therapy sessions either remotely or directly in clients' homes, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of each child and family.

  • Implement evidenced-based practices for anger management, coping skills, and social behavior, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.

  • Empower youth and their caregivers by enhancing decision-making capabilities to effectively address in-home behavioral challenges.

  • Collaborate consistently with other professionals within the Child Family Treatment Team, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to support the youthโ€™s progress.

  • Complete and submit essential documentation such as intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes within specified time frames to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in monthly case consultations and team meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on therapeutic observations and client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental or intellectual disabilities. As a therapist, your interventions will have a lasting impact on improving the psychosocial health of these vulnerable youths while providing support and guidance to their families. Your bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese will enhance your ability to connect with a broader client demographic, ensuring that language is not a barrier to receiving essential mental health care.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.

  • An active, unrestricted LMFT license is required to practice, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4 pm to 7 pm; weekend hours are a valuable asset.

  • A valid driverโ€™s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary due to client visits.

  • Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting, is a prerequisite.

Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support systems is a significant plus.

  • Experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is desired.

  • Previous work with families in crisis or in therapeutic settings will be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment fostering teamwork and mutual respect.

  • Opportunities for professional development and ongoing job training, ensuring you stay current in your field.

  • Comprehensive group health coverage to ensure your well-being.

  • Generous annual Paid Time Off (PTO) to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance for peace of mind.

  • A robust 401K plan to support your financial future.

Career Growth Opportunities

Joining our clinic opens doors for professional growth within the field of mental health. We value continued education and skill development, offering opportunities for advancement to leadership roles or specialized training in therapeutic methodologies aligned with your interests and the needs of our clients.

Why Join Our Team

At Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic, we are more than just a workplace; we are a community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will play a critical role in shaping the trajectories of young lives while collaborating with other compassionate professionals who share your commitment to mental health.
