Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and culturally aware Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative telehealth team at South Central Behavioral Health Center. In this full-time remote position, you will provide essential mental health services to a diverse population, ensuring that treatment is both effective and culturally sensitive. Your expertise will allow you to impact the lives of individuals and families as you help them navigate their mental health challenges.

Work Environment

As a telehealth facility, we embrace modern technology to offer remote therapy sessions that accommodate the needs of our clients. Our schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient demands. You will collaborate with colleagues in a supportive, virtual team environment, leveraging digital tools to provide comprehensive care across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gather insights into the unique experiences of patients and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based psychological interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health issues and promoting resilience among our clients.
  • Collaborate actively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to ensure that all aspects of a patient's care are well-coordinated and comprehensive.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during acute episodes, ensuring immediate support for clients in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise documentation of all interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in regular case conferences and team meetings to enhance collaborative efforts and share updates on patient care.
  • Stay updated on current research, best practices, and culturally relevant strategies to enhance the effectiveness of therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a variety of clients, including individuals from diverse backgrounds facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. Your cultural competence will enable you to provide tailored care that resonates with each patientโ€™s unique context, making a tangible difference in their mental health and overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and current professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Proven experience in delivering therapy and counseling services with a focus on cultural responsiveness.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations with poise, maintaining a calm demeanor while intervening.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and software applications relevant to therapeutic practices.
  • A commitment to ethical practices, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.
  • A collaborative spirit, with an ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
