Position Overview

Higher Ground Counseling Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) to join our virtual practice. This full-time position allows for flexibility in your work setting as it is entirely remote, enabling you to provide essential mental health services to clients throughout the Statesboro, Georgia area and beyond. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to gather relevant client histories and develop tailored treatment plans that address individual needs.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions through various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques, adjusting your approach based on client responses.
  • Utilize evidence-based behavioral techniques to facilitate long-lasting progress for clients, ensuring consistency in session notes and progress tracking.
  • Maintain detailed and organized electronic client records in compliance with privacy regulations and organizational protocols, aiding in seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation to enhance clinical skills and effectiveness, as well as engage in continuing education opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily be with adults facing various mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues, among others. You will have the opportunity to empower individuals to utilize coping strategies and techniques that facilitate personal growth and resilience. Your role is integral in building trust with clients, allowing for a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard and valued.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current active licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in a telehealth setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effectively engage diverse clients in a virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specific populations such as veterans, adolescents, or individuals affected by substance abuse.
  • General knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and experience managing high-risk cases.
