We provide a nurturing and collaborative environment where team members are encouraged to grow, learn, and make meaningful contributions to clients’ lives. We emphasize evidence-based practices and strive to stay at the forefront of the latest developments in mental health treatment.

This position is fully remote, which allows for a flexible work-life balance while serving clients from the comfort of their own spaces. Despite the virtual nature of the role, our team regularly engages through team meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative consultations to maintain strong working relationships and shared learning. The outpatient office model means that interactions will primarily be done through teletherapy, ensuring that you can offer responsive and timely support to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments by interviewing clients and documenting relevant history to facilitate effective treatment planning.
  • Evaluate mental, behavioral, and emotional health utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's specific situation.
  • Monitor clients' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including fellow mental health professionals, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive health care for clients.
  • Follow up with external resources such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians for clients requiring additional medical attention.
  • Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, offering guidance on managing behavioral issues and enhancing overall family dynamics.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. This may range from anxiety and depression to trauma and addiction. As a mental health counselor at Regain Strength, you will play an integral role in fostering recovery in clients from various backgrounds, adapting therapeutic techniques that resonate with each individual’s unique circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, to ensure efficient documentation and client tracking.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities to foster trust and rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous clinical experience in mental health counseling, with a demonstrable track record of successful therapy outcomes.
  • Knowledge of addiction disorders and underlying physical and emotional health conditions that may affect client treatment.
  • Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of the effects of prescribed medications and their potential impact on therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes extensive healthcare benefits, a retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and generous paid time off (PTO) including holiday pay, enabling a well-rounded work and leisure balance.
