A Brief Overview
The Associate Software Engineer is part of a team responsible for the development, support, testing and release of our organization's web and mobile applications. 
What you will do

  • Design and develop new solutions as well as implement enhancements and updates to existing solutions along with fixing the issues in the system independently
  • Use Agile methodology and project management software to collaborate with geographically diverse scrum teams
  • Develops, evaluates, and implements improved processes, methods and tools to continually improve software delivery effectiveness.
  • Be able to quickly learn new technologies to support existing products as well as products on the strategic road map
  • Contributes to the software development life cycle, focusing on development, testing, troubleshooting and debugging software solutions
  • Contributes to the best coding practices and help with code merges and releases.
  • Develops unit and automation test scripts under the test driven development lifecycle
  • Should be comfortable working independently or collaborating with others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field preferred 

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically < 2 years Experience in developing products and platforms using either UI or backend web technologies 

Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle 
  • Software Development Experience with Java, Python, or other object-oriented languages 
  • Experience with UI modern framework like AngularJS or ReactJS 
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, and knowledge of API protocols like REST, gRPC, and graphQL
  • Familiar with best coding practices and UI and backend architectures and excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Knowledge about the Caching technologies and DBMS technologies like Oracle, MySQL, PostGres, MongoDB

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $69,900.00 to $118,000.00  All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta.  All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company's discretion. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan.
