• Conduct comprehensive preliminary assessments and maintain detailed documentation from initial consultations through the entire treatment process.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering each client's specific circumstances and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques suitable for diverse populations and settings.
• Monitor client progress, regularly reviewing treatment plans and making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals, including social workers, psychiatrists, and nurses, to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a client's health.
• Engage with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care and communication.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these issues, enhancing clients' chances of success.
• Support family members and caregivers by providing education and resources to help them manage mental health challenges effectively.

This role involves working with a diverse client base, including individuals from varying socio-economic backgrounds with complex mental health needs. The community we serve includes children, adolescents, adults, and families, each facing unique challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic and effective counseling will empower clients towards their recovery paths.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly in a clinical setting, is essential.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage client documentation efficiently.
• Understanding of co-occurring mental and physical health issues, as well as addiction-related disorders.
• In-depth knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine, empathetic nature to effectively connect with clients.

• Experience working with various populations, including children, seniors, and culturally diverse groups.
• Specialized training or certifications in trauma-informed care, family therapy, or substance abuse counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to perform crisis intervention effectively and manage high-stress situations with composure.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral networks relevant to mental health care.

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
