This full-time position allows you to provide crucial support to individuals grappling with mood disorders from the comfort of a remote setting. Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still making a significant difference. Heart & Listen promotes a collaborative and supportive workplace culture where teams consistently share knowledge and resources. As part of our outpatient team, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining availability during our standard working hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and aspirations.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care techniques.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual responses.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals as part of our integrated care approach.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain confidential and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and supporting their needs within the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will be vital in guiding clients who may face additional challenges, including homelessness, trauma from domestic abuse, or difficulties navigating life transitions. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who require compassionate therapeutic support.

Qualifications

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is essential for this position.

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients' experiences.
