Sunrise Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families, establishing proactive communication to support the therapeutic process.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using our comprehensive clinical model, which includes Attachment-Based Family Therapy techniques.
  • Conduct new Family Orientations and lead Welcome Presentations to guide families as they navigate the treatment process.
  • Complete all required documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring timeliness and adherence to our established standards.
  • Maintain accurate records within our electronic medical record (EMR) system and utilize platforms such as Microsoft Word and Outlook for effective communication and scheduling.
  • Engage in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in clinical supervision, contributing to comprehensive case discussions and continuous professional development.
  • Represent Sunrise Counseling Services at meetings, trainings, and conferences, promoting our mission and values within the greater mental health community.
  • Independently manage your caseload and schedule to effectively meet client objectives and organizational goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. By employing a strengths-based approach, you will help clients and their families navigate their healing journeys, fostering resilience and empowerment through therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and registration as an Associate Clinician or similar designation in the state of Maryland required.
  • A sound understanding of Attachment-Based Family Therapy and experience in delivering therapy to adolescents and young adults.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health setting or with diverse populations.
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care, mental health issues, substance abuse, and eating disorders is a strong advantage.
  • A proven ability to engage with clients and their families effectively in a therapeutic context.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, along with a generous sign-on bonus. In addition to an hourly pay structure, you will also receive commission on client sessions, ensuring your hard work is recognized and rewarded. Other benefits include:
