Full Time Remote Graphic Designer information

What does a full time remote graphic designer do?

A Full Time Remote Graphic Designer creates visual content such as logos, advertisements, web graphics, and social media assets while working from a location outside the traditional office. They collaborate with clients or team members through digital communication tools to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality designs. This role requires strong creative skills, proficiency with design software, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. Remote graphic designers often use cloud-based platforms to share files and get feedback.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time remote graphic designer?

To thrive as a Full Time Remote Graphic Designer, you need strong visual design skills, proficiency in typography and layout, and a portfolio showcasing your creative work, typically supported by a degree or certification in graphic design or a related field. Expertise in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with collaborative platforms like Figma or Slack are crucial. Exceptional communication, time management, and self-motivation are standout soft skills, as remote work requires proactive collaboration and independent productivity. These skills ensure high-quality deliverables, efficient teamwork, and the ability to meet client and project expectations in a remote environment.

How do remote graphic designers typically collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project alignment?

Remote graphic designers often use a combination of project management tools, video conferencing, and cloud-based design platforms to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Regular check-ins, clear documentation, and sharing design drafts through platforms like Slack, Trello, or Figma help keep everyone updated and aligned on project goals. Maintaining open lines of communication is crucial for understanding feedback, meeting deadlines, and ensuring the final product matches the client's vision. While working remotely requires strong self-management, most teams foster a collaborative environment through scheduled meetings and shared digital workspaces.

Marketing Specialist - Social Media & Content Creator

Vay

Las Vegas, NV • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Job description

At Vay, we're bringing remote driving to the real world - a genuinely new way to move that puts a professional driver safely in control of a car from afar. It's a bold idea, and telling that story well is one of the most powerful things we can do to earn public trust and grow.

That's where you come in. We're looking for a rare "player-coach" who can both set the direction of our social presence and roll up their sleeves to create the work - a hybrid of social strategist, graphic designer, and content creator in one person. You'll own our channels end-to-end: shaping strategy and the content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/Shorts, and X; defining our voice and visual identity; and personally shooting, designing, writing, and shipping high-quality content - including on-site with our fleet in Las Vegas.

Social isn't a side channel for us - it's one of our most scalable ways to educate the public on remote driving and turn curiosity into app installs and rides. As we scale past 100K+ trips and expand our service, you'll be the single owner making sure our story is told consistently, on-brand, and at the quality our product deserves.

You're senior enough to lead the vision, and hands-on enough to make it real yourself.

What you'll be driving

You'll be the dedicated owner of Vay's social and content strategy, combining creative direction with hands-on production:

  • Social strategy & direction: Own the social strategy, channel mix, and content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube/Shorts; define our voice and positioning; set growth targets for reach, engagement, and install/ride referrals.
  • Graphic design & motion: Produce on-brand graphics, motion, and templates for social, campaigns, and the app store, maintaining a consistent visual identity across everything we publish.
  • Content creation: Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video and photography - including on-site with the fleet in Las Vegas - and write copy that turns the remote-driving story into clear, engaging content.
  • Creative enablement & video production: Raise the creative-quality bar across the company, support video production for other teams, and enable content for additional platforms such as LinkedIn and X by partnering with the teams that own them.
  • Community management: Monitor, manage, and respond to social inboxes and comments daily.
  • Measurement & iteration: Track performance, report on organic acquisition impact, and double down on the formats that work.
What are we looking for

We're looking for a hands-on creative who can set strategy and ship the work themselves:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in social media and content creation, spanning both video and static formats.
  • Proven ability to plan, shoot, and edit short-form video and photography for social.
  • Strong design skills producing on-brand graphics, motion, and templates (portfolio required).
  • Experience owning social strategy, channel mix, and a content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube/Shorts.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical concepts into clear, engaging copy.
  • Comfortable raising the creative bar and supporting other teams' video and content, not just producing your own.
  • Comfortable owning daily social inbox and comment engagement.
  • A measurement mindset - you track reach and engagement and tie content back to acquisition impact.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing a category-defining, trust-sensitive product (mobility, AV, hardware, or similar).
  • A track record of growing an organic following from an early stage.
  • Comfortable being on camera and directing shoots on-site with a fleet.
