Position Overview

Excela Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team on a full-time basis. In this vital role, you will leverage your expertise to provide comprehensive mental health services focused on fostering wellness, recovery, and improving the quality of life for our clients. This position will be entirely remote, allowing you to work comfortably from home or any location of your choice in Orlando, Florida. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs, including pre-crisis planning, crisis intervention strategies, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication management strategies.
  • Timely documentation is paramount; you will be responsible for completing all clinical paperwork in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Effectively utilize evidence-based screening tools as recommended by the clinical team to ensure accurate evaluations and interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and program staff to create and execute positive behavior support plans, ensuring holistic approaches to client care.
  • Engage actively in all accreditation and licensing processes, contributing to our commitment to maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Excela, you will work with a diverse client population, primarily focusing on individuals dealing with emotional and mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and those with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Your role will be crucial in fostering recovery and resilience, creating a supportive environment that encourages client engagement and progress.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Completion of a full-time clinical internship within a mental health setting is mandatory.
  • Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Outstanding communication skills with a quick ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong listening skills to demonstrate empathy while providing effective guidance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health clinic or similar setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement treatment plans collaboratively.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.

The compensation for this full-time role ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 101,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus. Additional benefits include:
