Position Overview

Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking dedicated Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our growing team in Conroe, Texas. Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct initial patient intakes with a focus on diagnostic and functional evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide brief, targeted interventions for patients requiring mental health services.
  • Work collaboratively with primary care providers to identify mental health needs and recommend referrals for specialty care when necessary.
  • Initiate and maintain follow-up on patientsโ€™ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Develop and implement relapse prevention strategies to support patient stability.
  • Monitor treatment delivery and coordinate health services related to behavioral health care.
  • Document all patient interactions and progress in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Educate patients on self-management techniques and resource availability to empower their recovery journey.
  • Provide insights and consultative support to clinic management and team members regarding behavioral services and program evaluation.
  • Assist patients in adhering to medical treatments prescribed by primary care providers, including offering coping strategies for medication side effects.
  • Uphold the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, ensuring a high standard of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse client population, including individuals from various backgrounds and health conditions. You will encounter patients struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and the effects of physical health disorders on mental wellness. Through your compassionate and professional approach, you will guide them toward improved health outcomes and a better quality of life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
  • Current and active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license.
  • Strong foundation in mental health assessment, treatment planning, and clinical interventions.
  • Knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses and psychotherapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to assess individual patient needs and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Solid understanding of the psychosocial effects of mental health issues on individuals and their families.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be highly regarded:

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish to better serve our communityโ€™s needs.
  • Previous experience in a community health setting or integrated care model.
  • Familiarity with various treatment modalities, including family therapy, group therapy, and child psychotherapy.
Compensation and Benefits
